May was a pretty fun month for us. Ella turned 2 and Jace turned 4! After last year's Cosmo Birthday Party, we decided that birthday parties with friends would have to be every other year. We had fun celebrating with Grandma and Papa O'Bryant.
Jace and Nick went on their first fathers and sons outing. It rained, but they had a lot of fun. On memorial day, we went on a hike. It was a lot of fun. We saw a spotted owl and her baby. Luckily, we were able to figure out the timer on the camera. It was pretty tricky and entertaining, as Nick had to set the camera on a log then jump the log, jump the creek and get in position all in 10 seconds.
Side note, Nick spoke on Mother's day for the 3rd year in a row. Loni, I quoted your blog in my talk. Thanks for the material. I hope you don't mind. It was your post about the good smell protection (which has become a saying in our Ward) and enjoying small moments with your kids, as you do during your kids' bath time. Your story coincided well with Elder Ballard's talk on young mothers that I had to base my talk.

How fun! Love the pictures!
That is an awesome family picture - good job Nick! Ella's hair is adorable. Isn't May a great time to have babies? I loved having the summer to enjoy after Ethan was born. Happy birthdays to Jace and Ella!
Those turned out to be great pictures. Good idea with the every-other-year birthday parties. Glad my blog could help, and hopefully there are more children out there benefitting from the good smell protection.
